📌 Services
The Biomics Platform is the C2RT structure at Institut Pasteur for Next Generation Sequencing short and long-read technologies. You will find all the detailed information on our services and processes on the Biomics website.
📌 Resources and Mission
The mission of the Biomics Platform is to facilitate scientific discovery within the Institut Pasteur network and academic research institutes. Biomics accepts all types of projects and works closely with the C3BI and the DSI to provide data analysis and storage solutions for researchers. Members of the Biomics platform provide advice on project implementation, which applicants may choose to follow or not. In the latter case, the Biomics platform reserves the right not to publish results derived from such projects.
📌 Publication Policy
The Wet-Lab, Dry-Lab and Support-Lab activities (sample QC, library preparation, technology choice, sequencing, design, tools, software and bioinformatic analysis) represent a significant investment of time by the Biomics staff. This expertise is central to our services and integral to the success of your scientific project. Any publication derived from a Biomics project should include the following acknowledgment:
“Names Surnames, Biomics Platform, C2RT, Institut Pasteur, Paris, France, supported by France Génomique (ANR-10-INBS-09) and IBISA.”
A good-faith discussion regarding authorship will take place depending on the level of involvement of Biomics staff.
📌 Data Storage Policy
Raw data is stored and archived by Biomics for a maximum of 5 years (data transfer is free of charge for the first 2 years). A contribution to disk space costs is included in the quote. Applicants agree that their data may be used for internal development projects. Please download our Data Management Plan: Biomics_DMP.
📌 Biological Sample Storage Notes
Researchers should specify how any remaining biological material should be handled after project completion. If not specified, samples will be destroyed by Biomics after 1 year.
Human Samples: Applicants confirm that they possess all necessary authorizations for the analysis of samples.
